HEATHER B - DO YOU

Heather B. Gardner (born 1971) is an African American hip hop artist from Jersey City, New Jersey. She is billed in all projects as Heather B., and is most well known for being a cast member on The Real World: New York, the first season of MTV's reality show The Real World.[1] One of two African American roommates, Heather was portrayed as a friendly, intelligent young woman with aspirations to become a rap superstar. She forged an unlikely friendship with naïve Alabama girl Julie; a memorable early clip from the season has Julie asking Heather if she wears a beeper because she is a drug dealer.

Gardner was affiliated with the rap group Boogie Down Productions,[1] and was signed to Pendulum Records in 1995. In 1996 she released her first album, Takin' Mine. The single "All Glocks Down", an anti-gun violence anthem, received moderate radio play, as did the follow-up single "If Headz Only Knew."[2]

In 1997, Gardner signed with MCA Records and in 1998 she released a two track single called Do You.

Outside her music career, Gardner has appeared in various projects and television specials related to The Real World. She also appeared in the film The Wedding Video directed by Real World alum Norman Korpi, and a 2005 television commercial for America Online anti-virus software.

Heather B is gearing up for her third album release entitled, "Open Bar" on GIWOM Entertainment. The album is Executive Produced by Legendary Producer and Gangstarr Member, DJ Premier. The first single is "The Game Don't Stop" produced by BDP Productions member, Kenny Parker. Additional production on the summer 2010 release is coming from Pete Rock and Large Professor

Cheba - The Piper

Well... I tried to find some info on this artist, but came to a dead end. Where's Wikipedia when you need them? However what I do know about Cheba is he was down with Shock G of Digital Underground. Also he recorded two singles for the Columbia Records' subsidiary Ruffhouse in 1990, "The Piper" is the first of the two. Most of you reading may remember the story of the Pied Piper (not R. Kelly lol) as kids. Well think of that same story, but in Hip Hop form. This single had a dope-ass beat. The second track "Just Because" is a nice 90's track as well.

Track Listing:
  1. The Piper (radio edit)
  2. Just Because

Janet Jackson - The Skin Game

Ok... here we go again with my altered cover artwork.... but anyway...

Janet's "Come Back To Me" single contains theB-side "The Skin Game Pt. 1". "The Skin Game Pt. 2" is an instrumental which appears exclusively on selected releases. Since the original and remix of "Come Back To Me" can be found on 1996's Design of a Decade 1986-1996, it wouldn't make any sense to add them here on this post.

**Added note: I paid almost $30 trying to find this song.... MFn' Ebay!

Track listing:

  1. The Skin Game, Part I" – 6:43
  2. "The Skin Game, Part II" – 6:37

Juicy - Sugar Free (Dance Mix)

Juicy was the brother and sister duo of Jerry and Katreese Barnes who had a Top 20 R&B hit with "Sugar Free." After having releases on Arista -- Love's a Merry-Go-Round (early 1983) -- and Atlantic -- Beat Street Strut from the movie Beat Street (summer 1984) -- they signed with CBS-distributed Private I Records. After the singles -- "Bad Boy, "It Takes Two -- Juicy finally hit the big time with "Sugar Free." "Sugar Free" sounded a lot like Mtume's number one R&B gold single "Juicy Fruit." It all added up to sweet success for the Barnes', as "Sugar Free" went to number 13 R&B in early 1986. The duo had one other charting single, "Nobody but You, which hit number 59 R&B in spring of 1986 on the CBS associated label. Juicy had two charting LPs, Juicy (spring 1983) on Arista and It Takes Two (spring 1986) on Private I.

This is the dance version of "Sugar Free", which is more rare than the "Deo/Dance Re-Mix".

RE-UP

This is a very rare 1st printing of Kilo's 2nd album. The re-release came out in 1992 under the Ichaban record label. BILL COSBY IS NOT HIMSELF THESE DAYS... RAT OWN, RAT OWN, RAT OWN

For nine years, Cosby released at least an album a year since 1964. After a three-year hiatus, this was his first comedy album since 1973's Fat Albert and he wouldn't return to a full-fledged stand-up album again until My Father Confused Me... What Must I Do? What Must I Do?
This is also his first album for Capitol Records. In this, his fourth musical album release, he parodies various rhythm and blues artists including James Brown and Barry White. The songs were written with producer/keyboardist Stu Gardner.
The first single, "Yes, Yes, Yes", became one of Cosby's biggest charted hits after "Little Ole Man (Uptight, Everything's Alright)", reaching number 46 on the Billboard Hot 100 and number 11 on the Billboard rhythm and blues singles chart. The song spoofed Barry White's deep-voiced spoken word monologues.

Yes, Yes, Yes (Cosby/Gardner) – 3:21
Chick on the Side (Cosby/Gardner) – 3:20
Shift Down (Cosby/Gardner/Lansbury) – 4:07
I Luv Myself Better Than I Luv Myself (Cosby/Gardner) – 6:00
Do It to Me (Cosby/Gardner) – 3:22
Ben (Cosby/Gardner) – 3:22
You're Driving Me Crazy (Cosby/Gardner) – 3:59
Garbage Truck Lady (Cosby/Gardner) – 2:38
